Scott Richard Hunter age 52 of Pittsfield passed away unexpectedly on November 21, 2024.
Born in Pittsfield on December 6, 1971, Scott was the son of the late Richard E. Hunter and Patricia Haskins Hunter. He attended Taconic High School and worked much of his life as a welder for different plastics companies in our community.
In his younger years, he loved driving motorcycles and going to the beach. Scott was proud to be his own person. He was a quiet man and a good friend to many and in his later years changed a lot. He learned to appreciate the simple comfort of a safe home and the love that family can provide.
Scott's family remembers his love of rock 'n' roll, especially Kiss, and his expansive knife collection. Scott was a well informed man and enjoyed prepping and preparing for any situation.
Scott survived by his two children, Darian and Scott R. Hunter and his beloved grandchildren, Annabelle Everleigh, Scott Junior, Royce and Jaleni. He also leaves his cousin Jeffrey Monteleone Jr. and his wife Kelly, and their two daughters Marianne and Tabitha, his aunt Sharon Zepko and his uncle Albert Haskins Jr.
All are invited to join with the Hunter family at the Saint Joseph Cemetery Saint Michael Mausoleum on Saturday, March 8, 2025 at 9 AM for a prayer service. Burial will follow in the St. Bernard section.
