Tribute

Harold E. "Mickey" Finn Jr., age 74, of Peru died at Berkshire Medical Center on Thursday, April 4, 2024.
Born on March 18, 1950, Mickey was a son of the late Harold E. Finn and Josephine Santoro Finn. He was educated in the local schools and earned his Bachelor's degree from Fitchburg State College. He went on to the Police Academy under Mayor Paul E. Brindle, III and was inducted into the Pittsfield Police Department in 1978. During his time on the force, he began as a Patrolman, spent time in the Detective's Bureau and later was promoted to Patrol Sergeant. Mickey retired in 2008 after a 30-year career.
He was a lifetime member of the Elks Club of Chicopee, MA #1849, as well as a longtime member of the Retired MA Police Association and the I.B.P.O. Mickey was also a Deputy Sheriff with the Berkshire County Sheriff's Department.
Mickey married the former Marilee Molner on August 22, 1991 in Las Vegas. Together, they both have offered a life of service to our community.
Mickey refinished a hunting cabin in Peru over 35 years ago and loved his home and his land. He found great joy in fishing, riding his four wheeler and hunting. He was also involved in many local pistol leagues where he was known for his sharpshooter abilities.
A true "man's man", Mickey enjoyed puttering in his garage or cruising in his Datsun 240Z sports car. He and Marilee gave home to many furbabies over the years and he loved animals, especially dogs.
In addition to his beloved wife Marilee, he is survived by their son, Michael Finn (Nicole) of Williston, VT, his sister Christine Finn-Decker (Robert) of North Adams, and his brothers-in-law William (Kelly Pizzi) Molner and Peter Cimini of Pittsfield. He also leaves his nieces and nephews, Derek Dubie (Kelly), Denise Dubie (Vincent), Beth Bolza, Kristin Wells (Derek), and Shaun Cimini (Kaitlin) and several great nieces and nephews.
Mickey was predeceased by his sister Patricia Bolza and his sister-in-law Suzanne Cimini.
